Her only claim to fame so far has been her recent forray into public relations, vocally supporting the policies implemented by her father during the early years of the Bush Administration. You can’t run for Congress on a platform made up entirely of ‘torture is okay because if works’. Yes, she was appointed to the State Department and has a law degree, but that alone is not qualification for public office. [...] Well, thanks to Sarah Palin’s freakish Twitter page, we now know exactly where in the world and approximately when in time Stephen Colbert is going to be in the Persian Gulf. Apparently she neither received the military’s memo concerning security nor watches the show she’ll be on enough to know that such pieces of information were supposed to be secret. [...] Pawlenty’s refusal to apply public pressure for Norm Coleman to end his doomed bid for Minnesota’s remaining Senate seat suggests that Pawlenty is in for a hard fight indeed, despite what a recent SurveyUSA poll might suggest. [...] The problem, President Obama, is that by trying to keep the photos under wraps, the government is keeping us from learning from our mistakes and holding accountable those among us who would toss aside the law and their humanity.
